Description Construction Challenge
World records are a tricky thing. Unless you have an unusual genetic defect or a looooot of patience to, let's say, grow your hair to ten meters, you have to take quite a lot of risks in most record attempts. At least high sums of money, but it can also become dangerous for your own life. Fortunately, both risks do not exist in the official Guinness World Records Construction Challenge.
The set contains everything for two different world record attempts. Specifically, 45 flexible straws and 28 star-shaped connectors. Up to eight straws can be attached to these, and a straw can be pushed through (see photo). This allows for all sorts of structures to be created (see also the photo, unfortunately, it did not make it to a record...). The goal is to either break the record for the highest tower built in one minute or for the fastest constructed one-meter-long bridge.
Strictly speaking, the journey is the destination. ;) That means, experimenting and tinkering with the best construction is the actual fun. Tips and suggestions, e.g., for a basic shape of the tower, can be found in the included instructions. With a bit of patience, you will get faster and more skillful. Above all, you can really disconnect and free your mind after a stressful day. A regular puzzle would be just too flat for that, don't you think?
When you finally feel ready for the ultimate record attempt, remember, you need witnesses and must register with Guinness World Records beforehand! Unfortunately, a shaky cellphone video from your buddy won't be enough... However, we are happy to receive any photos of your constructions!
