Description Registered Citizen
Who needs biometric data on the ID card... This T-shirt is enough :-)
You can determine yourself what should be under the barcode (and encoded in the barcode)! Whether it should be your nickname, name, date of birth, or something completely different, is your decision.
You can enter the text in a message to us, which you can choose under the entry of your address.
If you do not specify anything, we will take the first and last name of the billing address (separated by a hyphen).
Please note the following instructions:
- The text must be no longer than 16 characters.
- Spaces in the text will also result in spaces in the barcode, in our opinion hyphens look better there. Therefore, we replace all spaces with hyphens (unless you explicitly specify that we should use spaces).
- All lowercase letters will be replaced by uppercase letters.
- Special characters are unfortunately not possible. However, dots or hyphens are allowed. If in doubt, please ask via email.
- Unfortunately, we cannot encode umlauts either, we automatically replace them with the normal letter followed by an 'e'. We turn 'ß' into 'ss'.
- On request (please specify in the message with the order), we will change 'Citizen' to 'Citizeness'.
- If you want your code to be truly scannable, you need to add a '*' at the beginning and end of the text (Note: These characters count towards the character limit). This will be a so-called Code 39 barcode.
