No wonder: In almost every game in the series, Link had to find the sword (or a variation of it) in order to wound and defeat the arch-villain Ganondorf.
So that you are well prepared for spontaneous visits from Ganon and can recognize them from afar, there is the Master Sword Light from The Legend of Zelda. This replica of the legendary sword is illuminated by a lamp in the base, which you can turn on and off by pressing a button hidden behind the Hyrule crest.
