The HEV suit (Hazardous Environment Suit) plays a very special role in one of the most legendary first-person shooters: without it, Gordon Freeman, the game’s protagonist, would probably have died before the story could even get started. The suit was actually developed for protection during various dangerous experiments, and it not only makes Gordon more agile but also protects him to some extent against the attacks of his attackers – aliens and humans.
